A Workshop on Post-Transcriptional Control By Oncogenic
Viruses, organized by the University of California, Irvine Cancer Research
Institute, with support from a meeting grant from the National Cancer
Institute, will be held on June 24-27, 2004 at the Park City Marriott,
Park City, UT. The meeting will begin on Thursday evening and conclude
on Saturday evening after dinner. Registration includes lodging for
the nights of June 24-26th, allowing for departure on June 27th. The
goal of the workshop is to bring researchers working on receptors and
entry for oncogenic viruses together with investigators studying oncogenic
viruses. It is hoped that interactions will lead to development and
improvement of experimental models for virus-related (and other) human
cancers.

Attendance and Registration: Attendance
to the workshop is open to all interested researchers, including postdoctoral
fellows and graduate students. The $450 registration fee includes meeting
registration, hotel room (double occupancy) and some meals. For registration,
please complete the on-line registration form available on this site.
Deadline for registration extended to May 15, 2004.
For a limited number of attendees, the
workshop will provide registration gratis. Beginning investigators,
postdoctorals, and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Details
for requesting assistance can be found on the registration form.
Posters and Abstracts: A poster
session will be held. Attendees interested in submitting an abstract
should prepare the abstract in standard format on an 8 ˝ X 11” page
with 1” margins. Abstracts should be submitted electronically to
the workshop website. Poster size will be 4 X 4 feet. Depending
on the meeting schedule, a limited number of abstracts may also be
selected for short oral presentations. Abstracts for consideration
as an oral presentation should be indicated in the margin.
